OLIVE OIL TASTING
Olive oil is more than just food to the people of the Mediterranean: it’s a foundation of our well-being.
In ancient times, virgin olive oil was called “liquid gold” by Homer and “the great healer” by Hippocrates. It has been produced throughout the Mediterranean for millennia and some of the best types of olive oil can be found here in Croatia.
Learn how to appreciate and distinguish different types of olive oil during this guided tasting.
Learn about the history and cultivation of olive oil. Recognise the olive oil quality and taste three different types of olive oil during this expert-guided tasting. Olive oil is paired with the Fleur de Sel, aceto balsamico and artisan bread with a green olive pâté.
WINE & OLIVE OIL TASTING
CHEESE & WINE TASTING
Indulge your taste buds with this full Dalmatian-flavoured experience. During this tasting, three types of locally produced Dalmatian cheese (cottage, cow & goat milk cheese) are paired with three varieties of Croatian wines. Artisan bread drizzled with some high-quality olive oil, fully-bodied aceto balsamico and homemade wine vinegar complete this unique tasting.
DALMATIAN TAPAS & WINE TASTING
Croatian region of Dalmatia is well-known for its abundant locally-grown produce, wonderful cheese, world-class wines, and traditional artisanal recipes.
It is no wonder that late Anthony Bourdain, the famous American chef, gourmet, and travel writer, was swept off his feet trying out our food and wine when he visited in 2011. While filming his culinary show “No Reservations” on Croatian cuisine, he was particularly impressed with top-quality Croatian wines, which he said were among the finest in the world.
