HIGHLIGHTS

Let me enchant you with the stories of emperor Diocletian, past and contemporary Split while we stroll along the city’s narrow, medieval streets. After the tour of Split we enjoy half an hour ride to Trogir. On our way we stop at Salona to explore the most famous Roman archaeological site in Croatia. A break for drinks/lunch at any point of the tour. After the tour we return to Split.

ITINERARY

Intimately explore the city of Split and the palace built by Emperor Diocletian in the 3rd century. The beauty of our palace is found in the living breathing museum – as locals still live there. Together we explore this vibrant city and reveal its most significant sights.

Take a short drive over to Salona – and meet the impressive remains of this Roman town, that once had more than 60,000 inhabitants. Today this is the number one archaeological site in Croatia. My story of the once Roman Capital of the Dalmatia Province and your imagination can take us on an unforgettable journey from past to present.

Time to discover the wonderful islet of Trogir.

Her private tour pricing is beyond reasonable. We booked her for our Split /Diocletian’s Palace introduction as we got off a cruise ship, and again for a Trogir/Salona tour 3 days later. In retrospect, we wish we’d had her with us for all our days in Split. Wonderful tour for our family

Jelena met us at the entrance to the cruise terminal as planned. We had a wonderful time visiting the waterfalls, which were crowded with mostly tourists from other countries (besides Croatia). After a few hours of hiking and visiting the falls in the park, Jelena brought us to a charming town on the way back to Split called Trogir. It had a lot of history and was easily walkable. I had also wanted to go to a specific store that was in Trogir, and I appreciate her finding its location so I could do some shopping there. Jelena has an appreciation of and affinity for the English language (she teaches English during the school year) and shows great interest in learning about the visitors who use her as a guide. She is a wonderful advocate for Croatia and all the beauty and history it has to offer visitors. The tourism industry is lucky to have her represent this part of Croatia, as she paints a positive but realistic view of the area…

Excellent Tour of Split & Trogir

Our group of 13, from 3 to 60+ years old, had a wonderful half day tour with Jelena. She was great with the kids, and patient with our frequent stops for photos of beautiful Split & Trogir.
