Marjan Park Hill, The First Viewpoint (Vidilica)

Here I am at Vidilica, the first viewpoint of Marjan Park Hill enjoying my coffee and admiring an amazing view of Split and its harbour.
The steep walk that I took from the city centre in this heat is definitely paying off.

It is a clear, sunny day and in front of me the city spreads out in all its beauty.

When the Old Town becomes too busy, Marjan is a place where you can seek out some peace and quiet surrounded by the lush Mediterranean vegetation admiring the stunning views of the sea and islands in the distance.

Marjan also offers recreation and entertainment with natural pathways and trim-trails. Don’t miss it if you are a nature lover or someone who enjoys hiking or cycling.

Marjan is also the place where numerous monuments of sacral architecture can be explored. During my Diocletian’s Palace with the Jewish Heritage tour I often take my guests to Marjan to visit the Jewish cemetery from 1573.

The Belfry of St. Domnius in Split
