ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrival in Split
You are met at the airport and taken to your hotel in the heart of the Old Town. The balance of your day is at leisure.

Dinner is booked for you at one of the top restaurants in Split.

DAY 2 Split - Diocletian's Palace, Meštrović Gallery & Trogir

Explore the grandiose Diocletian’s Palace – a UNESCO World Heritage site that represents the best preserved late-antiquity building in the world.
Built at the end of the 3rd century AD, the Diocletian’s Palace is definitely the most important Roman site in Croatia. With locals still living within its walls, it is a living monument of one era and certainly a “must see” when visiting Split.

After our Split walking tour we take a short ride to the iconic Meštrović Gallery proudly housing the works of Ivan Meštrović – the most prominent Croatian sculptor and architect of the 20th century. Afternoon is your chance to discover one the most beautiful Dalmatian gems- an islet town of Trogir. Trogir is a stunning example of urban continuity with orthogonal street plan dating back to the Hellenistic and Roman period with the minimum of modern interventions.

Because of its long lasting urban consistency coupled with unparalleled beauty and cultural value, it has been inscribed on the UNESCO heritage list since 1997.

Admire beautiful Romanesque churches and outstanding Renaissance and Baroque buildings from the time of the Venetians rule here in Dalmatia.

Lunch and dinner are booked for you at one of the top quality restaurants in The Old Town.

DAY 3 Split - Krka National Park – Šibenik

Today you are taken to wonderful Krka National Park to soak up an easy-going full day of wonderful green nature.

Walk along the wooden bridges, narrow pathways and enjoy being at one with the national park with the soothing sounds of waterfalls at each step. From there it is 15 minutes’ ride to a beautiful coastal city of Šibenik. It is the oldest, originally Croatian town, on the Adriatic coast, built at the mouth of the river Krka and the Adriatic Sea. It was first mentioned in the charter of the Croatian King Petar Krešimir IV issued in Šibenik on Christmas Day in 1066. Therefore, it is often called Krešimir’s town.

Šibenik today prides itself with 4 fortresses. We visit Barone fortress to enjoy stunning views of St. Anthony’s canal and understand the turbulent history of the city. Walk through this marvelous historic city and step into the spectacular Renaissance cathedral – the masterpiece of the famous architect Juraj Dalmatinac. The cathedral features on the UNESCO heritage list due to the unique style of its construction. Besides the cathedral, the city is home to numerous Renaissance palaces, delightful squares and beautiful churches.

Lunch can be organised at a Michelin star restaurant in Šibenik or at an authentic tavern should you prefer more relaxed dining.

DAY 4 Split - Blue Cave - Vis Island - The Island of Budikovac - Pakleni islands - Hvar Town

Private boat tour which can be completely customised. It includes the following:
Blue Cave – one of the most beautiful spots on Adriatic because of the amazing glowing blue light.

Komiža – a small fisherman village located on western side of the Island of Vis.
Stiniva Bay – a bay with an unusual shape located on the Island of Vis.
Green cave – big sea cave with a hole on the top where light shines, spreading sparkling green light.

Island of Budikovac – tiny island on the south-eastern side of the island of Vis, far from noise, is an ideal spot for relaxation. On the island there is a wonderful pebble beach and beautiful turquoise lagoon for swimming.

Pakleni islands – this is the oldest and most famous resort on island of Hvar. Spacious sea lagoon with shallow and sandy beach, surrounded by the thick, pine forest, fragrant heather and rosemary bushes and various, exotic plants.

Hvar town – one of the world`s most beautiful harbours.

Amazing Value!!!!!

If you are visiting Split or anywhere nearby, I cannot overemphasize the need and the value of a private tour guide and Jelena is the best we’ve encountered anywhere! With a tour guide you will see more, in less time and it is customized to you. Stop for coffee …. a beer …. lunch….. more art, less art. Recommendations for where to go at night, what to see …. Jelena is a tour guide and “local friend” all in one…

Super!

We were very happy with Jelena, who guided us for a full day in Trogir and Split. She was extremely knowledgeable but also very engaging at the same time. We appreciated her enthusiasm and ability to know when we wanted to hear more or less about what we were seeing without us having to say anything. She is a real gem.

Excellent Tour of Split & Trogir

Our group of 13, from 3 to 60+ years old, had a wonderful half day tour with Jelena. She was great with the kids, and patient with our frequent stops for photos of beautiful Split & Trogir. She is knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, and courteous. She promptly met us at the exit gate of the port, had a safe driver & clean/new minibus ready for us. Her English is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and highly recommend Jelena.
